I still remember my first days at school. The anticipation, the fear, the anxiety… I was a nervous little boy.
Not my daughter though.
My Eden just recently turned 4 and in September will head to school for the first time. There’s anxiety again this time. Not hers, mine.
She’s as cool as a cucumber and is excited to meet her classmates and teachers and get to work in the classroom.
Tomorrow, my wife, Eden and I will go to her new school for orientation. It’s a big day not only for Eden, but for us, as we start the process of sending our first born out into the real world.
It seems like yesterday that she was just a newborn in my arms, and now she’s a big kid with her own ideas and plenty of personality.
We have no doubt Eden will excel at school and make plenty of new friends. But, that doesn’t mean it won’t be difficult to see her off to school in September.
