TIS THE SEASON!
It’s that time of year again. Knitted sweaters, fallen leaves, apple picking and Pumpkin Spice Lattes! Yum!
Here’s an interesting “tid bit” about those lattes though, bet you didn’t know they don’t actually have any pumpkin in them!?
I know! I had no clue either!
How do they get it to taste like pumpkin when there ain’t any in it!? That beautiful medley of cinnamon, nutmeg and pumpkin pie IS A SHAM!
Apparently they use only pumpkin pie spices rather than natural pumpkin puree in the Pumpkin Spice Lattes we so love.
As much as this is sad news, there IS a silver lining; pumpkin or pumpkin products boost your immune system, promote weight loss and protect against cancer!
With that being said, even though your Pumpkin Spice Latte doesn’t have as much pumpkin love as you’d like, there are many other ways to reap the health benefits of pumpkin.
That delicious pie sitting on your kitchen counter…you know that one? Well you can eat it now…GUILT FREE!
There. I just wanted to make you feel better about all the pumpkin that’s going to be shoved in your face in the next month and a bit. Never feel guilty about eating pumpkin again.
