We’re just past the halfway mark of Movember – that very special month where men grow moustaches – a Mo – for the month. You may not be sure what’s it’s all about so here’s the deal: Guys – Mo Bros – grow moustaches and raise money by having people sponsor you for sporting their Mo‘s. The Mo’s start conversations about men’s health that lead to greater awareness and understanding of the health risks men face. The outcome? Thanks to donations, Movember is proud to have funded 577 programs with our 20 men’s health partners in 21 countries. Globally, they focus on the areas of awareness and education, living with and beyond cancer, men’s mental health, and prostate and testicular cancer research. Thanks to those involved and who have donated to Movember, they are privileged to work with some of the best scientific minds and world-class organizations that strive to help Movember make a global impact on men’s health.
Heck, even Canadian Astronaut Chris Hadfield is a big Movember supporter. Not surprising since he sports the Mo 365 days a year …
I am once again taking part growing what I hope is a badass Mo (You can watch my daily MOgress here and see how badass it is. Or isn’t) and once again I’m asking for your support. Please donate to Team 91.5 The Beat – The MOstachioed and let’s make prostate cancer history
And one more thing. If we reach our goal of $15,000, I will have all the hair in my body – save for my eyebrows – removed. Yup, all of it. So please donate, spread the word and let’s raise some money for a great cause!
May the Mo be with you,
