My dad is in his 80s and lives alone. He’s is pretty good health, especially for his age. He still drives, shops for groceries, mows his lawn in the summer and shovels his driveway in the winter. But my siblings and I are starting to get worried about him living on his own. We check in on him every day, but if something ever happened and he needed immediate help there’d likely be no one around to help him. We’ve mentioned moving him into a retirement home, but he’s very against the idea. He says it’s too expensive and can ‘take care of himself just fine.’ What can we do to convince him to move?
