My boyfriend and I have been dating for two years, and living together for over a year.
In the last few weeks, my boyfriend has all of a sudden had a problem with my ‘rude’ eating. I don’t smack my lips or inhale my food, but he says I clang my silverware to my plates too loudly and that I also bite down on my fork which apparently to him is like nails on a chalk board.
Twice now he has told me these issues while we’re in the middle of supper. It makes me feel extremely uncomfortable and honestly it is so awkward for me to eat without making noises against the dishes and I guess biting down on silverware is just the way I like to eat because then it doesn’t get food all over my face!
Is there anyone who actually agrees with my boyfriend here or is he being as ridiculous as I thought?
