As some of you may know I am a HUGE Disnerd! I know lots of you are also members of this super awesome club 😉
So I went to check out the new ‘The Jungle Book’ this weekend and man oh man!
Considering the movie is almost totally CGI it was rather fantastic!
The animals for the most part had a very real feel and the young gentlemen who played Mowgli, Neel Sethi, did a fantastic job capturing the character.
Now if you have been thinking about taking your children to this movie, I would make sure you have watched the cartoon first. Some parts of the film are a little jumpy as animals fight, and sometimes jump out of the shadows. It is a very enjoyable movie for all ages, but because of these ‘somewhat scary’ scenes, I would not suggest taking a child under the age of 9.
A few extra things I LOVED about this coming of age tale is how much it reflected the cartoon Disney film and how I was left with a strong sense of accomplishment.
The message that if you stick together, and be who you are deep down, you can accomplish anything. Which is a great message, well, for anyone.
I will leave you with my absolute fav part, the ‘Jungle Rule’ …
