I heard your conversation today (Wednesday) about things people have dropped in the toilet and I had to message you my story in hopes you can give me advice on the Beat Breakfast Panel. My 15-year old daughter has destroyed two of her cellphones and almost a third (we were able to salvage it thanks to quickly getting it into a bowl of rice). Two of the times she dropped them in the toilet and once she dropped it the water when she tried to answer a call while in the bath. We’ve paid to replace her phone twice now and have told her we won’t pay to replace it again. She says that’s not fair because she doesn’t have a job and can’t afford to pay for a phone on her own. Are we being fair or should we pay for her to have a phone no matter how careless she is with it? Christina in Waterloo
