Since my dad’s passing 12 years ago, I have never missed a Mothers’ Day with my mom. My wife and I usually visit her parents on the Saturday and then travel to my mom’s east of Toronto on Mothers’ Day. That’s what we’ve always done and I thought that was the plan this year. I’ve even told my mom we’d see her on Sunday. This past weekend, my wife told me we were having dinner with her parents on Sunday because they’re not available on Saturday. This may not be a big deal, but I’m irritated that my wife would mess with tradition like that. Now I’m worried about disappointing my mom by not being with her on Mothers Day. – Tim in Baden
