I’ve been at my job for almost a year now. I really love it there and I feel great about the way my career is headed. The CEO of the company is rarely in the office but he’s a very friendly guy and very personable. Whenever he’s in the office, he makes a point of talking to staff. The problem is, I don’t think he knows my name. He always calls me ‘Rachel’ (my name starts with R but is not Rachel). I have never corrected him because I always expected one of my superiors would, but they haven’t. The CEO also has fun nicknames for some of the people who have been there for much longer than I have so I’m not even sure if he’s just trying to be funny. Is it rude to correct his mistake after I’ve let it go on for so long? ‘R’ in Waterloo
