My kid has inherited my skill set when it comes to sports and I’m not sure what to do about it!
My 13 year old daughter just started her first ever season of baseball. She’s definitely not the most co-ordinated of the bunch- but I think she doesn’t want to be left out so she plays anyway.
A couple weeks ago I overheard some of the other girls on the bench complaining about how she brings the team down. I could tell she heard them too and was hurt by what they said. She’s become increasingly worse at the game since that day- and the girls continue to put pressure on her to be better.
I’m a single Mom, and I can’t play baseball either so I’m not sure how I can help make her better. She insists she still wants to play- but I’m wondering if we should maybe look at another sport that isn’t so cruel? What should I do?
