My boyfriend and I have been dating for 6 years this October. We have been living together for the past 4 years. We have moved into a new city together (Hello Kitchener!) far from all our family and friends, and so far we love living here.
We’ve both started great careers over a year ago and are really loving life, yet he still has not popped THE question! We’ve spoken about the idea of marriage a lot, but every time he has a new opinion-sometimes he says he sees marriage in his future, sometimes he says he doesn’t. He always says he sees a future with me, we have a great relationship and great chemistry and I do believe he loves me.
We are looking at buying a house together, but I do not want to make that huge commitment if he cannot first commit to me! How long is too long to wait for a marriage proposal!? And if marriage isn’t something he wants (and I REALLY do) should we break off our relationship!? Is this “ultimatum” of an engagement before a house fair?
Signed, “Where’s my Harry?”-Sally from Kitchener
