Shot in black and white, “Calm Down” pays homage to G-Eazy’s upbringing with shots of his hometown of Oakland, as well as San Francisco. G-Eazy is joined for much of the video by the Cali hip hop group HBK as he rides streetcars, hangs out at a parties, poses in front of vintage cars and continues on his quest to make Hawaiian shirts cool. The look is awesome! The track is that catchy.
“Calm Down” is produced by The Arcade, who are best known for their fast-tempo hits “Fancy” and “Beg For It” with Iggy Azalea. You can catch G-Eazy alongside Britney Spears at their VMA performance this Sunday night! This will be Britney’s first VMA performance in 9 years.
