Last year I moved to Kitchener from Alberta with my boyfriend and before we left, my parents offered to give us some of their old furniture they had in their basement they never used. We were happy to take it, and my mom especially seemed happy to be rid of it.
My parents came for a visit over Christmas and my mom sat in one of the chairs she gave us and kept mentioning she custom designed it. She couldn’t stop talking about how comfortable it was and how much she enjoyed sitting in it.
Well, now she wants the chair back. She waited until she got home earlier this week to call and said she never should’ve given it to us because she’d forgotten how comfortable it was. She reminded me again she custom designed it and that it’s technically hers. She offered money to pay for the chair so we could buy another one.
I honestly don’t want to return the chair to her for the principle of the matter and pay to ship it. Do we send it back or just say no? CJ in Kitchener
