I’m 24 and live with my grandma who I love very much. My parents died when I was 7 and she raised me and my two brothers. I am the only constant in her life. One of my brothers lives out west and the other in California.
I have an opportunity to take a great short term job in California that could become permanent, or start a career with a great tech job that is waiting for me if I want it here. I really want to go and see what might happen, be near my brother who I am close with, and start on what looks like an exciting journey. Did I mention it’s California!?!?!
Since we have no other real family and she has a few friends, I already feel guilty about leaving her by herself. She’s in really good health for her age and is able to do things by herself, but I know leaving would be very hard on her.
I really don’t know what to do!!!! Should I stay or should I go? – Waterloo
