I am a fitness junkie and I go to the gym nearly every day. One of my best friends is on the unhealthy side and she made the new year’s resolution to get fit so she asked if we could work out together this year.
I said yes- at first I loved the idea of having a friend to work out with and I loved the idea of helping my friend become healthier but now I’m having regret!
I spend about an hour a day at the gym and that’s the max amount I have time for. Ever since she’s started going with me we’re there for nearly 2 HOURS. We have to share machines, she tries to take as much time as possible to rest and just generally has a lazy attitude at the gym. I try to pep her up but it just doesn’t work and as a result I find it’s hindering my own motivation.
I’m starting to lose progress in myself- but I can see that my friend is at least seeing a change in herself. I want to start working out on my own and have suggested that we go together but do our own workouts and she said she’d stop going if I did that. What do I do?
