I really think ‘Lets Talk’ day is a great thing and it’s important to encourage those of us who deal with mental health issues to feel OK about talking about them. I have a friend I know is dealing with some issues and REFUSES to talk at all about it to anyone. She has dealt with a couple tough break-ups and some serious family tragedy and drama in recent years and I can tell it’s really weighing on her and it’s changed her. I’ve tried to talk to her and suggested she get help but I get nothing in response. She shuts down and it’s usually a week or two before I hear from her again. I’m worried about my friend but I don’t want to hound her about it all the time and I don’t know what else to do for her. – ‘Wants to Talk’ in Kitchener
