A friend of mine is not satisfied in her career. She’s worked a few retail and food industry jobs and doesn’t last long anywhere she works. Let’s just say she has her own style. She has a lot of peircings, doesn’t really brush her hair and shows a lot of skin. When I told her she might want to ‘clean up’ a bit for work or interviews she says if an employer doesn’t respect her ‘individuality’ she doesn’t want to work for them anyway. That’s great but I’m worried she’s burning professional bridges. Is this something she’s going to have to learn on her own or is there another way I should approach it with her? – Becca in Kitchener
