My husband and I are planning a trip to Chicago with my in-laws in the fall. It’ll be me, my two kids and husband and his dad and step-mom. We’ve been looking forward to visiting the city and spending time with family but my in-laws did something that has me wondering if they even want to be there with us. We found a good deal on a hotel and booked a room expecting my in-laws to do the same. Instead they booked a room at a different hotel blocks away from our hotel. I thought the whole point of this trip was to be together. I’m really irritated by it and so is my husband but I know he won’t say anything to them about it. I don’t know if I can avoid saying something. Should I be offended by this? How do most people book accommodations when they travel in a group? – Travel Troubles in Kitchener
