My girlfriend and I have just moved in together after a year of dating and things are going great – save for one thing. I stay up late – usually 2am, and she likes to get to bed early – by 9:30. I work from home and I’m my own boss so I set my own hours, but she gets up at 5 to head to the gym and then to work for 7:30. She has tried to stay up later and it’s wearing her out.
She’s become irritable, unhappy and isn’t herself. I try to go to bed early and I toss and turn and keep her up. Are there any suggestions any Beat listeners have to find some balance in our schedules? -Night owl in Waterloo
