We’re following up with Beat listeners to see how they made out after they sent in their questions to us – and you – for help. Every Friday, it’s a Follow-Up Friday on the Beat Breakfast Panel.
Q:I have helped with my cousin’s upcoming wedding in many ways, buying and making decorations and I will be taking a day off work to help decorate the venue. I am also putting together a bridal shower. I have spent a fair bit of money and time and I am glad to help but I am wondering do I still give a gift? Or is the time and money I’ve already spent good enough? Thanks, Wedding Wondering
A:Thanks for using my panel, think the majority was to get a small meaningful gift. So now the next question is what gift should I get lol. I listen every morning, thanks for the smiles and laughs!
Q:I open up a few windows before leaving for work and today I get a text message from my 16 year old daughter that said she would appreciate it if I would either ask her or let her know (via text message) when I go into her room when she is not there. I find this difficult to wrap my head around and told her that as soon as she started paying me rent she could make such requests. Am I way off on this or right on the money?? I would have never said anything like that to my parents when I was a teenager. It seems kids these days are so self entitled.
A:Hey!!! Yes I did listen and I read the facebook comments as well. It’s funny how the parents feel I was right and the teens talk about ‘their privacy’. In the end I did stick to my guns but we chatted and I assured her that when I enter her room, I will only open windows and not snoop……unless she gives me reason to snoop. lol
Thanks for the help!! Love you guys in the morning!! L from Kitchener
