Dear Beat Breakfast Panel,
In the first few weeks of school, our 13 year old daughter has grown up A LOT. It seems her and her friends have been learning a lot about makeup and they now know how to do a full face like a total pro.
I am amazed at the looks these young girls can get away with- and I wish I had youtube to help ME skip the awkward phase when I was young too!
Well- my husband saw what our daughter looks like with a full face of makeup and he lost it! He told her she shouldn’t be going around looking like she’s in her 20s and needs to take it off right away.
I tried to tell him that’s just how teens look these days but he wasn’t having any of it. I think she should be able to express herself however she wants and he says she can look like she’s twenty when she IS in her 20s. He doesn’t even seem to want to compromise by using less makeup, and our daughter sounded horrified at that suggestion too.
What do I do?
