We’re following up with Beat listeners to see how they made out after they sent in their questions to us – and you – for help. Every Friday, it’s a Follow-Up Friday here on the Beat Breakfast Panel.
Panel #1:I heard you guys talking about what men wear yesterday on the show. My husband doesn’t have an issue with what to wear on a certain occasion, the issue is he thinks he’s stylish, but really he looks like an old man trying too hard to look young.
I think he’s having a midlife crisis. He works around lots of young people and he’s started wearing skinny jeans that are too tight, thick framed glasses and while he’s always had a beard, it’s now big and bushy instead of his usual neat and tidy look. While part of me appreciates how he’s taking an interest in his style and how he looks, it doesn’t suit him or do him any favors. How can I be kind and let him know without hurting his feelings? The problem is it’s Thanksgiving weekend and my parents expect us to attend a big family dinner on the Saturday. We always go to my girlfriends on the Monday as they live close to town, since my folks are a three hour drive away, we head there Saturday & Sunday.
Anyway, long story short, we can’t switch the tickets to the last Saturday since it’s sold out and my parents are upset we’re skipping thanksgiving this year. I feel guilty but how can I get them to realize it’s just one year and I want to have some fun with my friends? Double Booked in Kitchener
