Last year’s revival of “The X-Files” was so well-received that the Fox network is doing it again, with the adventures of Mulder and Scully continuing in a new season.
Fans of the show received their first look at the upcoming season at a Sunday panel discussion during New York Comic-Con, featuring series creator Chris Carter and stars David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson and Mitch Pileggi, reports Deadline.
For fans of the show, the upcoming season of “The X-Files” will likely be the last for star Gillian Anderson. “No, no, I think this will be it for me,” Gillian said during the panel.
The actress said she signed on for season 11 “because it felt like it wasn’t over,” according to ScreenRant. “It didn’t feel like we necessarily deliver everything the fans were expecting of us last time, and so it was that.”
During the Q&A, Carter admitted that when it came to producing another “X-Files” movie, he’ll “never say never.”
A new season of “The X-Files” is scheduled to debut in early 2018.
