In case you missed it, famous hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein is being accused of many MANY accounts of sexual harassment. Not only by The New York Times, but a ton of celebrities as well.
It all started with an expose done by the New York Times which had Ashley Judd go on record to recount a time where Harvey asked her to watch him shower.
Since that article has been released and more people have spoken up, Harvey Weinstein has been fired and now his company is already losing millions. Companies that loaned HWC big bucks to produce movies have backed out of deals (worth $41 million dollars) because Harvey is no longer attached to the projects.
Harvey has now flown to Europe for sex addiction rehab. Sources say Harvey believes it was his own brother who outed him to the New York Times. Apparently his brother, Bob Weinstein believes he’s a “very sick man” and has had years and years to fix his issues but hasn’t.
Harvey’s wife, Georgina Chapman announced she’s leaving him.
“My heart breaks for all the women who have suffered tremendous pain because of these unforgivable actions… I have chosen to leave my husband… Caring for my young children is my first priority and I ask the media for privacy at this time.”
A TON of celebrities have revealed either their disappointment or their own experience with Harvey.
George Clooney called it ‘indefensible’.
Jennifer Lawrence said ““I was deeply disturbed to hear the news about Harvey Weinstein’s behavior”.
Cate Blanchett said “Any man in a position of power or authority who thinks it’s his prerogative to threaten, intimidate or sexually assault any woman he encounters or works alongside needs to be called to account.”
Angelina Jolie and Gwenyth Paltrow both stepped up and said they were harassed by Harvey themselves. You can read their accounts here.
You can read what Meryl Streep and Judi Dench had to say about Harvey here.
Ben Affleck came out to say he was shocked and surprised by the news of Harvey- and actress Rose McGowan totally called him out. She said she told Ben about Harvey sexually harassing her and he said “God Dammit Harvey I told him to stop doing that! You can read that story here.
There’s also an article that claims Matt Damon and Russel Crowe made phone calls to STOP a similar story about Harvey being published a few years ago. Rose McGowan once again responds on twitter.
This whole thing with Harvey Weinstein is giving me PTSD. Why? Because this kind of thing happened to ME. (1/Cont.)— terrycrews (@terrycrews) October 10, 2017
And last but not least. There are Harvey supporters.
DKNY designer Donna Karan said women were “asking for it” the way they dressed around Harvey. She backpedaled pretty quickly- you can read that here.
And Lindsay Lohan also said we need to stand up for Weinstein in an instagram video.
This is also info myself and my one person team could gather. I’m sure there will be more as the days go by and I’ll update.
