Hi Beat Breakfast,
I’m a single gal in her early 30s….living life with a job I love, a life full of travel, social events, family events, new adventures and never a dull moment. I’ve recently decided to just stop looking for love. I deleted all the apps and decided to continue living my best life as a single gal. As much as I’d like to be in a relationship, I’m genuinely happy in my life and just found the search exhausting…
Enter Sunday afternoon….
I was shopping at the WalMart on the Boardwalk and past by the cutest guy! We made eye contact as I turned down my aisle. A few seconds later, I glanced to the end of the aisle to catch him walking by going the other way. We made eye contact again and I smiled. A few minutes later he came down my aisle….it was just the two of us. So naturally, I completely ignored him!
What’s wrong with me?! I think he figured I just wasn’t interested and left. I froze in the moment…a confident, successful gal reverted back to her 14 year old self and couldn’t muster the courage to even say hello?!
What should I have done? What could I have said? Is this why I’m single?! haha. I don’t think I made up the eye contact and him purposefully coming down my aisle…it was a very specific aisle full of tissue paper and gift bags.
Can’t wait to hear your sage advice.
