Folklore has it that if a groundhog sees his shadow on Groundhog Day he'll flee to his burrow, heralding 6 more weeks of winter, and if he doesn't, it means spring's around the corner.
Ontario's Wiarton Willie and Nova Scotia's prognosticating rodent Shubenacadie Sam failed to see their shadows on this morning.
However, the predictions by the Canadian groundhogs are at odds with Pennsylvania's Punxsutawney Phil, who is calling for 6 more weeks of winter. (CBC News)

Hi there, well if you love winter sports, you might be feeling pretty dissaponted right about now. Environment Canada claims this is the closest we've come to cancelling winter. There's a reason for why we've had these mild temperatures it's called "Arctic Oscillation"
NASA researcher Bill Patzert explains: The complex weather pattern has held the polar jet stream at bay around the North Pole, preventing colder blasts of air from penetrating farther south.

Big Changes On X-Factor..........

Hi there, well I don't know about you, but I enjoyed the first season of X-Factor. I didn't think I would enjoy it as much as I did!
I wasn't surprised to hear certain people weren't being asked to return next season, the host was dry and lacked real emotion. Nicole wants to focus on her career so that made sense. What is surprising is that Paula Abdul may be let go, she has brought something special to the show, she's quirky I guess. What do you think, should Paula stay? Hi there, well this isn't newsworthy, celebrities get married and most get divorced. What surprised me is that I didn't realize many of these stars were ever hitched!
