LESS SEXY-TIME?

I found this interesting story on the newswire this morning...

A new study released by Statistics Canada finds that the number of teens who report having sex is on the decline. The survey finds that in 2005, 43 per cent of teens aged 15 to 19 reported having sex at least once, compared to 47 per cent from 1996-1997.  The study finds the decline was due to young women, where the proportion who reported having had intercourse decreased from 53 per cent to 47 per cent. Meanwhile, the proportion of young men who reported having intercourse remained the same at 43 per cent.  The proportion of teens who reported becoming sexually active before the age of 15 also declined from 13 per cent in 1996-1997 to eight per cent in 2005.  As for condom use, the proportion of sexually active teen girls who reported using a condom increased from 65 per cent to 70 per cent from 2003 to 2005, while the proportion remained unchanged at around 80 per cent among teen boys. 

I don't understand why the amount of teenage sex would be decreasing but I like the way this is going.  By the time I have kids and they're in their teens hopefully the rate will have dropped to 0%.  Yeah right.
