Well Alright!  After some technical issues, it appears as if Mike Daddy's Blog is back in business again.  My apologies for those who've been expecting some new words of wisdom...kinda like this guy asleep on my shoulder at the recent Coors Light Maxim Golf Experience at Rebel Creek Golf and Country Club. 


Actually my nocturnal drinking buddy here is our King Of Promo, Silks...and he's not asleep - just passed out... (again just kidding!).  We had a great time, and many thanks to our friends at Molson, Rebel Creek, and of course...the fantastic Maxim caddies.

When I was a kid, I always wanted one of these.  But my parents were always 'you'll break your neck on that thing'.  So last weekend my son saw this in the flyer and got all excited about it.  Well, I figured why not relive my lost childhood fantasies, so off to CT we went and picked one of these up.  We put it out in the backyard, got it all set up, while my son got his swim trunks on.  Then FINALLY when it was time for the most amazing slip slidin time...my son did the one thing you never do on a slip and slide - try to walk on it.  I think you know what happened next.  Boom he went down, and while he didn't hurt himself per say, he did get the typical 3 year old freak out feeling, so now he's scared to go on it.  Being the semi-sadistic dad, I didn't want my son to be deprived of the amazing fun feeling of a slip and slide, so as he lay there on his belly crying at the surprise of wiping out, I shoved him down the length of the slide like a bowling ball.  So here's my son sliding down half crying / half laughing...parenthood is awesome! (and I finally got a slip and slide...heheh).  Here's a guy who took his childhood love for kiddie pools to a new level; he broke a world record for diving into one.
