CHIHUAHUA TAKES BOX OFFICE AGAIN

A talking dog was the hit of the weekend box office, with Beverly Hills Chihuahua taking the number one spot for the second-straight weekend with $17.5 million. The horror movie Quarantine debuted in second, followed by the Leonardo DiCaprio-Russell Crowe drama thriller Body of Lies.

MCCAIN ON LETTERMAN ON THURSDAY

John McCain and David Letterman will get a chance to make up. The Republican presidential candidate is scheduled to appear on Letterman's Late Show on Thursday. It will be McCain's 13th visit to the program but his first since he angered Letterman by canceling last month. Letterman was unhappy when McCain sat for an interview with Katie Couric instead of him on September 24.

TRAVIS BARKER BLOGS

Three weeks after being aboard a devastating plane crash that killed four people, Travis Barker has a simple message for his fans: "Thank you." The former Blink-182 drummer posted a message Saturday evening on his MySpace blog thanking his supporters and paying tribute to his assistant, Chris Baker, and his security guard, Charles Still, whose lives were claimed by the September 19 crash. Barker, who sustained second- and third-degree burns from the crash, also posted an update on his own condition, which were accompanied by a series of photos of the rocker in the hospital.

... Barker blogged that he'll have his seventh surgery today (Monday).

J-LO AND MARC ANTHONY MARRY AGAIN

Jennifer Lopez and her husband of four years, Marc Anthony, capped a night of club-hopping and show-catching by renewing their wedding vows. The ceremony took place at 3:15 Sunday morning at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, in the newly renovated Forum Tower Penthouse. A source says it was a "spur-of-the-moment thing."

NAOMI WATTS AND UNBORN ZIP AROUND ON MOPED

Actress Naomi Watts is catching heat from, well, nearly everyone after being photographed cruising on a moped with her man Liev Schreiber in NYC over the weekend. Naomi is very pregnant, and mopeds aren't all that safe. The gossip website TMZ put it in perspective: Mopeds are such a hazard to your safety the NBA's Golden State Warriors forbids its players from riding them -- and just suspended one their guards for 30 games for injuring himself while breaking the moped clause in his contract.

STAR JONES SPEAKS OUT (AGAIN)

Star Jones is speaking out about how she was treated during her departure from The View in 2006. She says of her former co-hosts: "Those girls were hateful." In a new interview in the November issue of Essence magazine, Jones also responds directly to Al Reynolds' infamous YouTube videos, in which he stated he "still loves" Star. She tells the magazine bluntly: "I'm not in love with him."

VANESSA HUDGENS BUYS A WINE CELLAR

For those of you sick of hearing about Disney teen stars buying multi-million dollar homes during a major financial crisis -- just stop reading. Vanessa Hudgens just sang and danced her way into a $2.75 million home in Studio City, California. The High School Musical star now has six bedrooms, 6-1/2 baths, a pool, spa and a barbecue island. Also on part of Vanessa's new digs -- a wine cellar -- which, of course, she won't use till she turns 21.

WILL WCW BECOME MORE REAL?

Wrestling commander-in-chief Vince McMahon reportedly wants his sport to become more real. PWMania.com reports former WCW superstar Norman Smiley was hired as a trainer for its developmental territory Florida Championship Wrestling because of his background experience in realistic Japanese wrestling. Officials would like wrestlers to make their punches appear that they're connecting to the opponent and to perform moves that are more realistic.

BRITNEY SPEARS' NEW PERFUME

Britney Spears has a new perfume, adding to the six she already "sponsors" (Curious, Fantasy, In Control, Midnight Fantasy, Believe and Curious Heart). The new one is called HIDDEN fantasy. The scent is described as being "all about expressing the many, mysterious sides of a woman," and will be in stores in January.

TIM ROBBINS GETS STAR ON WALK OF FAME

Actor Tim Robbins received the 2,371st star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Saturday.

JON BON JOVI SUED FOR $400 MILLION

Rocker Jon Bon Jovi is being sued for $400 billion in federal court by a Boston Red Sox fan who claims Bon Jovi ripped off lyrics he had written for use in his own song. Samuel Bartley Steele wrote the song (Man I Really) Love This Team, an ode to the Boston Red Sox, in the fall of 2004. Steele claims that Bon Jovi heard his song while campaigning for John Kerry in Boston when the Red Sox were in the World Series, then used lyrics in his own song, I Love This Town.

LISA MARIE PRESLEY HAS TWINS

Lisa Marie Presley gave birth to twins early last week. People magazine says the baby girls were delivered via C-section.

ANGELINA JOLIE LEANS OBAMA'S WAY

Actress Angelina Jolie has not yet endorsed a presidential candidate, but she spoke positively about Barack Obama in an interview for the German edition of the Vanity Fair Magazine. In the interview, Jolie said Obama would be "great for my family" and praised his commitment to international justice, but remained undecided, as she also said: "They are things which could move me to vote for him..."

LINDSAY LOHAN GETS ABUSIVE THREATS

Lindsay Lohan has 24-hour security around her after allegedly receiving "abusive threats" to three of her California addresses. According to reports, Lohan turned to the Los Angeles police department after receiving "Biblical" threats. The specific nature of the threats has not been confirmed.
